I am VERY behind on my posts...i don't even remember if I did a Halloween post...yikes! This post will be picture heavy and probably not too many words as my to do list is a mile long (the blog isn't even ON my list either...) If I play my cards right, I will be able to do a Christmas post this evening....
This year we were fortunate to spend a few days in Corvallis at the Chaney Family Homestead.
Graham was able to leave his job at Belly the Sunday before allowing him time to enjoy Thanksgiving for a change as well as his family. The WHOLE Sorenson clan traveled from along the West Coast for this special Turkey Day along with Uncle Max and Kerry from Idaho...Cousin Tia & her fiance Rob even made the trek up from Ashland. Needless to say, it was a full house!
We arrived the night before and got to have some "quiet" family time before the big day. Graham and I along with the boys all slept in the parents bedroom while they took Graham's old room. It was a rough night with Oliver waking tossing, turning and talking all night.Turkey day started with brunch and the Grandparents joining us from Salem. It was a very pleasant morning and I didn't get enough pictures...
After brunch we decided to take a walk to campus.
Soon after we returned home the rest of the family arrived. (Henri did not take a nap....argh. He didn't take one for 3 whole days and became Jekyll and Hyde laughing one minute and face first on the floor crying the next)
We had a very large, loud dinner with 4 boys under 5. I think they had a grand time themselves...
The table filled the entire Dining Room...
Matthew & Eric
Graham wasn't allowed to cook at all and there for muscle power....Cousin Jay got himself into hot water by throwing a hunk of butter into the gravy at the last minute before dinner....
The kiddie table!
The next day we got up and went on a hike, in the rain. I like hikes, and the outdoors, but I'm not too fond of hikes in the dripping rain...the battery died in out camera on this hike so I don't have any pictures of our wine tasting, duck football watching OR night out on the town...I DO have a video of Max singing karaoke of Bohemian Rhapsody...but that will wait for another time...
