Crafty Wonderland

This weekend I will be selling my wares at the Crafty Wonderland show.

I applied for this show a couple of months ago when I had no prospects of a job...now I am swamped with a stack of stuff to get sewn up tonight...I just hope I sell a lot but not so much Saturday, that I don't have anything left! I can and probably will be sewing up more things tomorrow night!

If you can, come a pay me a visit, it's free!

Download Art

I stumbled upon this blog, How About Orange awhile ago while lost in blog land. The writer is a crafty girl and even has an Etsy shop. She has a love for all things orange and cute modern crafts. Often I find many inspiring or pretty things. Today she posted a link to Feed Your Soul where you can download free illustrations and print them out. I picked three for our new house...
This one caught my eye since I am having a thing for Owls and Henri's room.

Then I found this one for my studio.

And this one I think for the bathroom.

Super Cute

I get a weekly email from Portland Picks that promotes local shops, restaurants and events. In this week's issue was this super cute bag and a link to their site. I can't afford to buy one now, but thought they were worth sharing. An added bonus is they have a Handbag of the Month contest and by promoting them on your blog you can actually be entered to win one. How fun and creative! So here are a couple of my favorite designs...

Olive Juice - Jennifer Bag

The new Madi Bag.
Olive Juice bags operate out of Camas, WA and you can buy their bags on their Esty.com shop.

More projects...

Thought I would share some more pictures from some projects I have been working on.

My second round of fabrics which entailed a very brave trip to Fabric depot while there was a 30% off sale and 40% off coupons!

The fabrics for Oliver's Bean Bag.

A close up of the Mum.

Finished Mum Pillow. I got my inspiration here for this and used some left over fabric that I had at home. I made it a little more challenging by using a fabric that unravels. I stitched along the edge of each petal and interfaced the front and back to give it more stability. I also put in an invisible zipper instead of the overlap method in the instructions.

I have a stack of Classified Christmas gifts that I am working on and hope to finish today along with Oliver's Bean Bag and hopefully a new stocking for the Dog & Cat. I have quite a bit left on my plate but am confident that I can get it all done during naps, meals & bedtime. A lot of late night sewing for me please!

Bitten by the Bug.

The Craft Bug that is...

Since this Christmas is on a tight budget, again, I have gotten a bee in my bonnet to do a lot of craft projects. Some of them I can't tell you about yet, or show the pictures as they are gifts, but here are some pictures of the ones that aren't currently classified.

My fabrics.
I will be going back Friday for a few more that I am short, plus more for projects I keep coming up with.
 My new card holder.
Showing off one of the first cards we got this year.
The new tree skirt.

The inspiration. Found here.

The wreath.
I bought a grapevine wreath from Micheal's so that way I can change it seasonally and it will still looks good. I also bought the gold stuff and the white "berries" there and some ribbon at target to tie the bow.

The Pillowcase sewn and ready to stuff.
Stuffed with one of my feather pillow inserts.

The finished pillow.
