Family Feasts #1

Since we tend to eat out 1 or 2 times a week, and peeps always be asking me where to go for food, I thought maybe a good reoccurring topic would be all about food. Here is Family Feasts #1.

Earlier this week we tried a new to us place for dinner. We like to expose the boys to a wide variety of foods (which can often make dinner stressful) but it is one of the fundamental values that we have: take them out and get them to at least try new food. We tend to stick to a few if the same places, most if them ChefsTable since we get a manager discount. $$

This evening we decided to venture to a great little rustic small plates place called Grain & Gristle. They have hit the nail on the head with this place. It's perfectly worn and rustic while also being minimalist. Green bottles on the table for water,  hack saws hanging on the beams for decor. Everything is wood except the upper portion of the walls lines with booths and a live edge bar.

We ordered a variety of dishes.
- Oliver insisted on ordering a soft pretzel to share with Henri.
- Cauliflower
- A beet salad
- The Meat Board
- Braised pork with house-made baked beans.
Everything was perfect, well seasoned and cooked well. It is pretty rare for us to go somewhere and love every dish
We cleaned our plates so quickly that this was the only food picture that I got.
Def going to be added onto our list of Go To places to eat. :)
